Welcome
I am Zerion, the chief of Gods in this world.
You are about to enter this world....
Which path will you choose?
[[In the Wild]]
[[Upper class in Castle Town]]
You didn't remember why you were here. All you knew was that you were alone in the forest, in the winter's cold embrace.
Despite your small figure, you managed to be alive. You were crossing a clearing when you heard growling from your right side. You looked and saw a big white wolf snarling at you. Next to him was a cub with grey stripes n his white fur. The white wolf, Alpha, motioned his cub to you and barked.
Eyes gleaming, the cub charged to you. You.....
[[Run]]
[[Grab a stick next to you and held it out in front of you]]Your house got burnt down by an unkown cause. You are dirty and walking around the streets as the only survivor in your family. You see your rival, Larion, from school coming up to you. He taunts about you and your misfortune.
You feel your blood boiling.
[[WACK!!!!!!]]
[[Breath deeply and walk away]] You punched him in the mouth and he fell with blood escaping from his mouth. Minutes later, he throws some punches in which you avoid them before punching him again. This time he is coughing up blood while passebys stop at the horror sight of two upper class members fighting. You look up at the sound of rushing footsteps and see a trio of of guardmen.
"Halt!" Said one of the guardsmen.
[[Run Away!!!]]
[[submit and go to jail]]
[[You say "He attacked me first" while pointing at him]]//He's not worth it//
You strugged your arms and walked away. However, Larion got angry at the thought of being ignored, and started to hit you in your head. You collapsed on the floor, screaming in agony. Passerbys stop and looked at the horror of an upperclass boy beating up a defenseless child. You look up at the sound of rushing footsteps and see a trio of of guardmen.
"Halt!" Said one of the guardsmen as he approached Larion.
The boy clenched his teeth at the sound of the guards and continued to beat you up until the guards took Larion off of you and left you on the ground.
You were left alone in the dirt until a shadow loomed up. You looked up and saw Ellart, who wore his usual purple trenchcoat and hat.
[["What do yout want?" you said aggressively]]
[[You look at him in silence, you already felt defeated enough today]]“Absurd!” Said a white haired passerby male. He wore a monocle on his right eye and held up his golden handled wooden cane to you. “That young person hit the boy first! Don’t be fooled by him/her!!!”
The closest guard took you by the arm. “Nice try fool. It’s off to the town’s dungeons to you.”
//Castle Town’s Dungeons!? But they are unsanitary!!! They are not worthy of someone of my status despite losing my estate and parents! I need to go back to it, perhaps the key to the vaults are somewhere there. But what to do????//
[[Bite the guard’s arm]]
[[submit and go to jail]]
[[Accuse Larion of setting your estate on fire]]
Ellart was taken back at your hostility, even his hand was taken back a little. Nevertheless, he still extended out his hand to you.
“Well, you are hurt, and I want to help you. Would you like to come with me home so that I could heal you?”
[[Aren’t you friends with him?]]
[[ You hang out with him. Why should I trust you? ]] Ellart looked at you with a small smile as he extended his hand out to you.
"I'm sorry that happened to you. Darion can be such a dick at times."
You had not held on to Ellart's hand as you remember scenes of him and Larion on the campus grounds as they laughed and hung out with each other.
[["You hang out with him. Why should I trust you?]]
[["Aren't you friends with him?]]
[[You remained silent as you got up on your own and tried to limp away]] Ellart sighed and lowered his hand down to his side. He looked at you with sorrowful eyes. “Because he’s my cousin. Trust me if I was like him then I wouldn’t help you now would I?”
//Maybe, but still……//
“Would you still be willing to let me help you?” The boy asked.
[[Yeah, he seems decent enough]]
[[Hell no, they are related ]] The young brown haired lad shrugged his arms. “Well I am his cousin, though I wouldn’t consider him that type of friend.”
You looked at him in surprise. It seems that you underestimated him and his relationship towards Larion.
//Should I give him a chance?//
[[Yeah, he seems decent enough]]
[[Hell no, they are related ]]
"H-hey, what!!" Ellart said.
He tried to touch you but instead you quickly pushed him onto the ground. As you watched him fall you felt something rushing up towards your mouth. You pushed it down your throat, and limped away with the boy's dismay as another girl helps him up. Before he could follow you, the streets became overrunned with people. Errant has lost sight of you.
[[;End;]]The young brown haired lad shrugged his arms. “Well I am his cousin, though I wouldn’t consider him that type of friend.”
You looked at him in surprise. It seems that you underestimated him and his relationship towards Larion. Should I give him a chance?
[[Yeah, he seems decent enough]]
[[Hell no, they are related ]] Ellart sighed and lowered his hand down to his side. He looked at you with sorrowful eyes. “Because he’s my cousin. Trust me if I was like him then I wouldn’t help you now would I?”
//Maybe, but still……//
“Would you still be willing to let me help you?” The boy asked.
[[Yeah, he seems decent enough]]
[[Hell no, they are related ]] //What do I have to lose? I already lost almost everything//
You take his hand as you steadly got up while Ellart smiled a bit.
"I guess I could use some help, since I have nobody." You said as you brushed off some dust from your clothes.
"Everyone needs someone, especially at hard times." He said as he wrapped his arm around you and guided you to his home. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that my parents are in their best behavior!"
[[A subtle ending]]You shaked your head angirly as you limped away.
//I would be a fool if I listened to someone who shares THAT snake's blood// you vowed.
"Wait!!" Ellart said as he rushed and grabbed your arm. His trenchcoat flew due to his swiftness. In rage, you turned around and slapped him on the cheek. His eyes were wide in suprise as his hat flew down on the street.
"Your family has done enought damage to me!!" You shouted, knowing how much Larion's father hated your family due to competition reasons in the Kingdom.
You quickly limped out of the street with a commoner retrieving Ellart's hat. The young boy looked at you puzzled as you disappear into the crowd.
[[;End;]] You don't know how much time had passed but you knew that it was now dusk. What used to be cloudy, now became even more dreary as raindrops started to fall from the sky like an army raiding thier opponents.
You collapsed from the slippery pavement, but did not have the strength to get up. You coughed and felt weaker with each breath until you heard
//Come here...////
You looked up and saw a faint shape of a human silhouette.
//Who?// You thought before you collapsed onto the pavement.
You felt colder as you sensed the figure move closer to you in a light blue mist
Until everything became black............
;END; You are led by the guards to the Castle's Dungeons. Even after they opened the metal door that lead downward, you could smell human feces and could guess that the inhabinates there had not recieved a bath in quite a while.
You are briskly taken down to a small cell and roughly pushed into it. You fell in the dust and coughed as you got up while the guards locked you up.
"We'll come back for questioning." One of the guards said. "Best get comfortable in your new surroundings."
With that they left you in the dirt and dust. You looked at the left side and saw a person whom you could not differenciate if they were male or female since their whole face and body was covered in black hair.
//Is it human or a monster?// You wondered.
You turn your head to the other side and saw a muscular man with long dirty blonde hair. He wore a dark yellow slack and pants. He gave you a sly smile as he prompted you to come closer. Knowing better you stayed in the middle of the cell, hugging your legs until you heard the verdict.
[[Trial in the Depths]] “But guards, he set my estate and family in fire and shambles!!” You said as you point at Larion, who looked shocked at the accusation. “He was jealous of my higher status that he asked a boy from our school for a lot of hay to burn my home down!!!”
“I was buying that for my horse!” Larion shouted.
“Enough!” Said one of the guards as they hauled the both of us on our feet. “We’ll settle this in court!”
With one guard behind both you and Larion, the four of you followed the third guard to the castle’s courtroom, which held aristocratic trials as well as royal trials. It was an honor to have one’s trial inside the castle.
//Good//, you thought as you walked up the white staircase. //There are some witnesses that have seen the conversation. He bought so much hay that it can't be just for his horses. He can’t possibly turn this to my downfall!!//
[[Later…]]
The trial was held between you and Larion in the accusation of him burning down your estate and everything in it. Based on your superior thinking skills that your father drilled you into you as well as the witnesses that you foresaw, the court has declared Larion as guilty. He has been sentenced to the Castle’s Dungeon for eternity. The King of the Kingdom has forced Larion’s family to pay for the construction of your estate as well as the servants and tutors for compensation of your family and servant’s deaths. As a result, his family has fallen into the middle class due to thier wealth being depleted. Their family name hung in shame.
Some months passed and you were shopping with your head maid in the market square. During your venture, you didn’t notice a brown-haired boy, who was about your age and used to attend your school. His attire had changed from a flashy purple trench coat and hat to a blacksmith’s apron and a dirty face. He scornfully looked at you with fiery eyes as he stomped away in resentment.
End, for now.......You dropped Larion and ran to the back streets. You see an intersection. Which do you chose?
[[Left]]
[[Right]]
[[Straight]]With Ellart's and the maid's help, your wounds and health have been healed up. The young boy has kept his promise in making sure that his parents treated you well, espeically his father since he and your father are rivals in terms of business. You had no idea what your father did specifically to support the family or the Kingdom. You could see that this pleased Ellart's father as he walked out after finding out of your obliviousness.
Furthermore, with Ellart's help, you have proven your identity based on the fact that the two of you go to school together by the Castle Court. This has granted you with your family's vault key that was found in the rumble as well as the land. Despite having some income due to the tragedy by the King and Queen yourself, it is up to you to rebuild what you have lost.
Will your lack of knowledge and time be your undoing
or
Will the deed repeat itself to finish you off? You turned left which lead to more buildings although they seem to be less of them. Seeing a bunch of barrels nearby, you decided to knock them over.
"Look out!" Cried a guardsmen.
You perked your ears wide as you hear scattering feet and someone collapsing, much to your relief.
In mere moments, you were coming up to the wall gate to Castle Town. As a result, you picked up the speed of your running, especially with the usual two guards guarding the gate.
Before they could stop, you slid down and swept both guard's feet and continued onto the gate.
"What?" The guard said as he looked up to see you escaping into the wild.
You stopped at a clearing as exhaustion ran deep in your body. You allowed yourself to fall onto the grass and looked up at the sky for some time before the thunder broke the silence.
Sighing, you got yourself up, despite the numbness of your body, and started life in the forest.
Surely all is well with you? You took a right turn, which led to a dark alleyway.
"This way!" One of the guards roared. Footsteps began to echo.
"I can't see a thing!" Said another guard. "How is this possible at this time of day?"
//This might allow me to lose the guards!// You thought.
With this in mind, you muster all the energy you had and you ran quicker than before. However, because you were running so fast, you did not notice the silver thread at that was close to the ground.
You tripped into the thread which resulted you to fall on the ground. Before you could move you heard a nearby clanking of a barrel before you felt a burnng piercing pain enveloped all over you.
"AHHHHHHH!" You shouted in pain.
You looked down and saw that you were engulfed in flames. You tried to move but you were unable to for some reason. Due to the fire's light, you were able to see a shiny turquoise liquid from nearby.
//A paralyze potion!//
"Ack!!" Said one of the guardsmen. It seemed that they had finally caught up to you.
You didn't need to look to see thier reaction, as only an idiot would think that way. You felt your body and spirit melt away in the depths of darknesss.
It seems that you didn't escape the estate's fate after all....You ran straight ahead, which seemed clear to you, and looked back to check on how close the guards are to you. However, further down there is a lady who is putting clothes on the rope that is connected to her window and that of her neighbors. It wasn't until you turn your head back that you see the rope before you collided into it, got wrapped up, and started to fall down. During then, the rope hung around your neck so tight that you started to have trouble breathing.
You heard a slice from behind you in which allowed you to fall to the ground swiftly. In your sights you see a guard coming closer to you while another was standing in front of the lady.
"It is against the law to hang your laundry on the ground level." He said as the other guard got a hold of you. "But we'll let it pass as you have helped us in capturing a suspect."
//Great.//You thought as you were led to the Castle Dungeons
[[submit and go to jail]] The King's Chancellor came down to the dungeons along with Larion and one of the guards that broke up the fight between the two of you. He stood in front of your cell. As always, he wore a long green and white robe with his long beard combed neatly to his torso. His badge on his chest stood out in the lightless realm.
"Who are you?" The Chancellor commanded.
You explained that you are the child of the Rosando family of the elite aristocrates. "I just escaped from my estate that was burning to the ground." You said.
"And what reason did you hit the boy?" He challenged.
Before you could open your mouth, Larion went in front of the Chancellor. "Sir, this person is not the child of the Rosando family." He said before looking at me. "For one, elite members have thier emblems on thier clothes or a family brooch. Something that this person does not have."
"Is this true?" The Chancellor said to the guard, in which he nodded in agreement. The King's advisor then looked onto you. "Well then, until someone comes up to claim your identidy, you can stay here for your crimes of lying to a court offical!"
"Wait!!" You cried.
The Chancellor and guard ignored you as they walked to the upper level of the dungeons, were the only way to the outside world was. Larion gave you a smirk before he waved you a goodbye. You crashed into the iron bars as you shouted insults at him.
Once you heard the door closed, you slide down in utter defeat.
[[ A Distasteful Ending]] Six months had passed since you were placed in the castle dungeons. You knew that no one was coming to claim your identity, all thanks to Larion.
//That bitch!!!// You thought. //He's doing this so that he could get back at me for all the things I had done and accomplished for this Kingdom! Not to mention the oppurtunities my family and I had!//
It didn't matter to you...
You felt your life ebbing away in boredom, even more now that you didn't eat anything for the past two days. You laid there in your dirty bedroll, eyes flickering at its own will.
It's now nightfall, and your stomach sounds off the quiet room. You could hear complaints from the other prisoners about the noise as riots within the cells raged began. One by one your hunger and first began to die, followed up by your vision. The clanking of iron bars seem to fade away, until you became free again.
END "Let go of me!!" You shouted. "I am the child of one of the elite families and I forbid you to touch me!!"
You leaned down to the guard and bite his arm.
"YAAA!!!!" The guard screamed.
You bite hard enough that blood began to ooze out from your mouth and that you started to hear cracking noises from the guard's arm. Upon hearing that, the guard let go his grip on your arm.
You smiled in trimpuh until it was shortly lived until you saw the handle of the sword coming straight towards your forehead. The hard impact of the metal has left you down on the ground with your eyes flickering.
"Take him/her to the dungeons!!" Said one of the guards as he attended to the injuried guard's arm.
You looked around to see the shocked and horror faces of passerbys of all classes until darkness filled your eyes to complete unconsciousness.
[[Trial in the Depths]] Instinctively you tried to run away from the danger. However, with the crisp air and snow, you felt tired as you were short of breath. This allowed the cub to leap at you and bite your neck from behind. You fell as you felt something warm escaping from behind you. You turned your head sightly as you saw the cub lunged toward your face before darkness overtook you. You are still conscious despite only seeing darkness. You felt a strong screeching pain from your leg before your arm.
//RIP//
You scream in agony as you felt your flesh being ripped from what you can guess to be the Alpha or his cub. You continue to scream as you feel all you parts being ripped and shattered until you feel nothing at all.
It seems that you became a grand feast to the Alpha's family Lucky for you, the stick had a sharp point at the end of it. As the cub leaped in the air, you jabbed him in the eye. The cub's eye was spilling with blood as he yepped in pain and collapsed on the snow. Alpha sat with his paws tucked under his tail as he watched his son get up despite having lost an eye.
Rage rose in his only eye as he ran toward you, his sharp teeth ready to strike at you. Seeing his next move you...
[[Run]]
[[Move the stick horizontally as a shield]]Based on your quick reflexes, the cub had bitten down on the stick as opposed to your body. You successfully used the stick as a shield! With his jaws stuck on your stick you.....
[[Stomp the cub's body]]
[[Throw the cub to a nearby tree]]With your only weapon being used. You decided to lower your stick and the cub down before stomping the cub with your feet. As a result, the stick broke into two while the cub yeaped in pain at the impact of your strong legs from all the walking you had done beforehand. Now that the cub is down and attempting to regain his composure you.....
[[Let the cub go]]
[[Stab the cub with the stick]]Seeing a tree nearby, you decided to flung the cub onto it. However, your upper body strength doesn't seem to be enough as you only managed to swing him a few feet apart from you.
Quickly, the cub sees you with his good eye and lunged towards you again. You step back only to fall from the amount of snow nearby you and felt the stick impaling your neck, from the pointy side. Your eyes go under as you fall from the ground with the cub standing on you.
You did attempt at your best, and it could have been much worse. Feeling as you both are too young to die, you threw the pair of sticks onto the ground and smiled. The cub looked in suprise at your choice of action before looking behind you with a fearful gaze. You turn around and quickly fell to the ground as the Alpha bite your leg until it came off of your body.
"AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"
You could have sworn that the land itself was trembling at the sound of your voice as the excruciating pain enveloped your whole body. You placed your hands onto where your right leg should be before you heard an "Arruff!"
You turned your head and saw the Alpha's gleaming eyes as his bloody lips came up from the cub's body. Next to the cub was your right leg, which was now covered in blood, of wild and human. In horror, you realized that he had killed his cub, but you did not know why.
Hands behind you, you tried to scatter away from Alpha. Eyes gleaming, he lifted his head, and howled into the open air. You kept on trying to move away from Alpha, despite him moving closer to you. It was just as he had put his unsheathed claws onto your other leg that you noticed more wolves have entered the clearing.
You closed your eyes as you felt pain erupting from throughout your body at the pain of tearing flesh and blood that is escaping from your body. Only when you felt a sense of warmth did you realize that your pain is over.
An animal knows no mercy, but the cub might thank you for your sacrifice, if he's not succumb to shame for all eternity. Feeling that the cub will be of a threat, you stabbed the cub at the neck first before the face. You kept stabbing at the cub multiple times until you have deemed it to be dead enough.
//mmpppphhhh//
You turned your head at the sound of the snow being stepped on. Your face is covered in splatters of blood, while your eyes are wide of anticipation.
Alpha looks at you for a brief moment before bowing his head. You did not return any sign of acknowledgment. Nevertheless, Alpha approached you though you did not step back as you realized that his claws are sheathed.
You coughed as you felt yourselve shivering. You had been out for too long. Alpha sees this as he swipes your body with his paw in which you start to fall before he catches you. You allow Alpha to carry you to the cave where the rest of his pack are. He places you in the back of the cave while the other wolves gather around you. Alpha looks at you before howling to the pack. In response, they howl before they disperse and huddle around you.
You smile at their warmth and yawn. You turned your body and placed your hand on one of the wolves. Wiith your eyes starting to close, you see Alpha watching you, with what seems to be a content smile.
Your life with your new family begins now
[[Chapter 2]] //Crunch!!!//
You held up your head and smiled as you admired the big squirrel that you caught, it's neck eminating your teeth marks.
You picked it up with your hands and walked to Alpha, who was approaching you from the shrubs as he watched you. He looked at your kill, and nodded his head before he paddled past you. You followed him with no question.
Many years had passed and you knew that you were getting taller, almost past the Alpha himself. He and his pack had been your family, and you cherished the memories.
Moreover, you cherished the memories of your mother, from the moments you suckled her milk, walked your first steps with you, and even the gentle discipline bites that she inflicted on you when you misbeaved.
You had missed her greatly. You didn't know what happened on that faithful day when you and the rest of the pack heard a loud banging noise that made the forest scatter away. You remembered your father barking an order to get out before he watched the others ran before himself, as he always done as the leader of the pack.
At that time your mother quickly nosed you to your feet, and you started to run. However, after some short distances you fell to the ground with your father trailing behind you, barking you to get up. You saw a tall silhouette of an animal who stood on two legs just as you. The animal lowered a long log barrel like thing onto your father, and that loud bang echoed the forest again before Alpha grabbed you gently by the arm to keep on going. When you did get to your feet and ran, you looked back and noticed that your mother was laying down with blood running down her in the spot where your father was. She was still the fastest wolf in the pack.
Later on, you realized that she died protecting your father. You had this sinking feeling when you found out, till this day.
You still walked with Alpha side by side, who did not leave your side even after the sacrifice his mate made to the pack. You were happy, and wanted to prove yourself to the pack, but mostly to him.
[[BANG!!!!]]Your head snapped back at the sound as it came from southwest of where you were. Alpha's ear's perked up as he heard the sound too. He barked a run command in which you swiftly turned your head back and ran.
Due to the first incident, you had no trouble running now as you move as swiftly as Alpha, though you worked hard to move as quick as mother.
You and Alpha ran past the leaves and the river that came in front of you until you came to the caves, in which other wolves had gathered outside in a defense circle, waiting to attack any intruders.
//Get inside// Alpha barked. //All except two on guard//
With the commands given place every wolf expect for two went inside. You quickly went in as well, not wanting to get in the way.
As always, you placed your fresh-kill in the pile that was located in the middle of the cave before you took your place at the back, where a small mountain of rocks laid. You took your place next to Alpha who was waiting for you before turning his attention to the pack.
//Brothers and Sisters//, he started. //The loud noise that has taken the lives of this pack have echoed the forest once again.//
//They are back!// sneered a wolf who had brown and white fur. //We can't risk any more of them appearing!!//
//Agreed.// said a gray and white wolf with ragged skin, the sign of old age. //But what can we do? Even the swiftest of us were brought down by them.//
//The swiftest of us was dead because of thier child.// retorted a black and gray wolf with deep yellow eyes. He looked at you with a challenging gaze.
//Hush!// barked a biege and black wolf. //Little Cub was too young then!! Besides he/she wasn't the only cub that had trouble running away from the monsters.//
//He/She still got Alpha's wife killed.// replied the black and gray wolf.
//Enough!// commanded Alpha. The biege and black she wolf lowered her ears and head whhile the black and gray wolf did not falter at the sound of his leader's booming voice. Alpha snarled before he continued. //Little Cub was given to us by our ancestors and as must we shall honor thier wishes. Anyone having a problem with that can come to me. Do I make myself clear!//
Small nods approached the pack before Alpha continued on with his speech. //We are here to talk about the threat of the monsters! As Alpha, it is my duty to guard my family. Therefore, I have decided to move our home elsewhere.//
Protests of barking echoed the cave before a voice shot out, //Alpha! we have been living here since our ancestors walked!//
//I understand your concerns.// Aplha said. //But I will not lose another soul to them. It is better if we relocate than to lose more.//
//Isn't there any other way?// Another wolf pleaded from the crowds.
You stood there as Alpha barked out silence, yet everyone was panicking at the thought of leaving. You thought and thought until....
[[Leave the area]]
[[Fight!]]//Father's right,// you thought. //There should not be anymore blood spilled over something so small as a mouse's droppings.//
You lurched forward and growled out everyone's attention. The sight and sound of your authority prompted the cave in complete silence. All eyes were on you, even the Alpha's was glimmering in interest.
//We leave,// you roared. //We would lose more if we stay here.//
//You are both asking us to leave our dignity and way of life!!//said the aged gray and white wolf. Nearby him, his mate, a brown and speckled black wolf, lowered her head down at the thought of leaving her ancestor's home.
//We would still carry our techniques with us,// Alpha pointed out. //But for the sake of our pack and way of life, alive, we must moving forward, away from this land.//
//Well, I'M staying here until my dying breath!// The grat and white wolf declared as you snuggled with his mate, who looked troubled at the outcome of the meeting.
//May our ancestor's guild you.// Alpha said to the couple before turning his attention back to the rest of the pack. //We need multiple hunting patrols now to conserve our strength for the travel. Go now while the remainder talk about which direction we shall take and patrol for the last time.//
With the end of the meeting, the majority of the pack disperse outside the caves and into the woods while a pawful of them stayed to talk to the Alpha about options.
You decided to go hunting as well so you ventured out into the clearing until you heard a growl. You turned and saw the black and gray wolf who challenged you earlier.
//Always the follower.// The black and gray wolf said. His eyes were deep with resentment. //That is why you'll never get my respect as well as others to lead us.//
He turned away and started to walk. //That is why you'll be the reason of the death of our pack.//
[[We'll all be dead if we fight.]]
[[Would you have stayed and fight for our homeland?]]A thought entered your mind before you lurched forward and growled out everyone's attention. The sight and sound of your authority prompted the cave in complete silence. All eyes were on you, even the Alpha's was glimmering in interest.
//We'll stay,// you declared. //And we will fight!//
Alpha's eyes were wide before he snarled out to you. //Are you blind Cub? We are no match for them!!//
//Father, we are one but many.// You pointed out. //If we spread out and divide into two groups then we could kill them.//
//What are we, birds!?// snared a gray wolf.
//No, this could work.// Said the black and gray wolf, to the shock of many. //They can't possibly defend and attack themselves when we are scatter all over the place.//
Alpha's fur smoothed out as he stood on straight. //Teach us your plan then son/duaghter.//
You nodded with a solemn expression (they wouldn't taken you seriously if you were happy) as you went outside with the rest of the pack behind, and drew your plan on the sands.
It seemed straightforward. One group would encounter the monsters as a way to distract them while the other group would sneak closer until they were within range for a close attack.
//We should have the distraction group be larger than those sneaking// Alpha commented.
//Agreed,// you said. //That way we can protect each other.//
Alpha nodded to you before raising his head up. //Everyone, hunt and get ready for the upcoming battle!//
At the sound of the commands, half the pack went out into the forest to hunt while the rest went to the clearing on the left to practice battle moves.
Before you started walking there, you saw the black and gray wolf approaching you. You stopped as you waited for him.
//I never thought I would agree with you.// The black and gray wolf said. He looked at you with pride in his eyes. //I look forward when you lead us Little Cub.//
[[Do you respect me now?]]
[[I had done what was needed]]The wolf gave you a deep stare before answering, //Respect is earned through action and time, Little Cub. Don't think that you have earned the respect of the pack after the thought of a mere suggestion.//
//But you agreed to it,// you pointed out. //The whole pack did as well.//
//Don't let pride be your downfall Little Cub,// the black and gray wolf warned.//You still have much to learn before you are fit to lead us.//
He got up and turned his body to the training grounds. He beckoned his tail to you. //Could I join you, brother/sister?
[[Of Course]]
[[You'll have to earn more from me]]//Exactly,// The black an gray wolf said. He turned his body to the training grounds. He beckoned his tail to you. //Could I join you, brother/sister?
[[Of Course]]
[[You'll have to earn more from me]]//I would be honored if you walked besides me Brother.// You said.
The most experienced fighter and hunter of the pack grinned at your answer. The two of you walked side by side to the training grounds, were you saw your father on top of another wolf in defeat.
//I need to be tough like father,// you thought. //For the good of the pack!!//
You followed the black and gray wolf to an open spot in the area. You stood some feet apart as you both took opposite sides from each other. Claws sheathed, he approached you.
You stood in guard, and prepared for his attack, as well as the attack on the monsters the next day.
End Chapter 2 After saying those words, you felt a surge of power eminating from within yourself. You did not wait for the black and gray wolf's answer before you headed to the training grounds to prepare for the battle.
Meanwhile the wolf still stood nearby the mouth of the caves. His eyes were filled with annoyance, and a deep dread.
//I hope in the memory of our ancestors that ore pack will not falter because of the monster's child.// He thought.
He paddled towards the training grounds as he started to prepare for the upcoming battle. Once he entered, he saw you on top of a wolf in defeat. The black and gray wolf looked deadly upon you wthout your knowledge before barking at another pair of wolves to fight him.
End of Chapter 2 //At least we will die in dignity!!// The gray and black wolf growled.
He paddled away until he was heading toward to forest. He stopped.
//You will be the reason why our pack will scatter and die!//
With that he ran out to the forest, his eyes and body tensed with fury.
You stood thier as his words still hung in the air. Nevertheless, you shook your head.
//This is for the better of our clan.// you thought. //We would be stronger if we had loyal ones amoung us rather than traitors and those who question us.//
End Chapter 2 //YES!!// The gray and black wolf growled. //This is our ancestor's home!!//
//What does it matter?// You said.
The wolf spitted close by as he paddled towards you, his eyes deep with rage. //Not like a monster's cub to understand!!//
//Try me,// you challenged.
The gray and black wolf's eyes narrowed. //Our ancestor's have defeated wild cats here until they no longer walked our grounds. We have defended this territory throughout all predetors. If the monsters are predators, then so be it!
[[We'll all be dead if we fight.]]
